Susar Jasaada (Masada El Rabdan x BDF Jamala Basara) is a 1990 Blue List mare out of the wonderful Serr Mariner grandaughter BDF Jamala Basara. Sadie is a magic horse pure and simple. At age five while sonogramming our mares in hopes of finding a good recipient for the embryo of Om Khamsa, our vet discovered an ovarian tumorin Sadie. This tumor was causing Sadie no problems as she was jumping, showing dressage, and in general doing beautifully, but it had to come out. Little did we know that this tumor was the size of a basketball and would take many hours and an incredibly complex surgery to remove. Sadie recoverd from the surgery and went on to become a Regional Top Five winner in dressage.
I was reluctant to breed Sadie because frankly I couldn't stand not riding her, but finally, at age 14, I decided it was now or never as she was getting older. Her pregnancy went just fine until thirty days before her due date at which time she had a uterine torsion. We went in and were able to untwist the uterus, but she was still in pain, so another total abdominal surgery was done and it was found that adhesions from the ten year old ovarian surgery were causing her pain. The adhesions were fixed and Sadie proceeded to recover. Thirty days later she had a healthy colt.
Now Sadie is back in training and getting ready to resume her dressage career.

As well as being a wonderful show horse, Sadie also loves to give riding lessons. She is full of flare and emotion for the experienced rider, but for a little child, she is a lesson horse.
